Tim McGraw Still Has a Future in Acting, Says ‘It’s Just Finding Time’

Tim McGraw is currently focused on Tim McGraw the country singer, but that doesn’t mean he’s done being Tim McGraw the movie actor.

«There are some things kicking around,» he spills to Taste of Country Nights’ Sam Alex during an interview to talk about new music. «It’s just finding time … more after the first of the year, some stuff coming up.»

Yet, McGraw admits that those things that are «coming up» won’t be seen by the public for awhile.

In the past, McGraw has had roles in films like The Blind Side, Country Strong and Friday Night Lights. Pero a pesar de su impresionante currículum, dice que todavía tiene que hacer audiciones.

«He hecho audiciones, todavía, unas cuantas veces», dice con una risa.

Por ahora, el trabajo en el cine sigue siendo sólo un trabajo secundario para McGraw, que acaba de lanzar dos nuevos temas, «Neon Church» y «Thought About You», una canción que evoca muchos recuerdos para él.

«(Thought About You) simplemente cuenta una gran historia», dice McGraw a Alex. «Realmente me recuerda mucho a donde crecí y a la gente que conocí y a las personas que me influyeron en el camino. Se trata de personas que no se te pasan por la cabeza lo suficiente, pero que en los momentos más extraños se te pasan por la cabeza».

Después de pasar dos años de gira junto a su esposa Faith Hill y de hacer un álbum de duetos, McGraw comparte que ambas canciones se incluirán en un álbum en solitario aún sin nombre, que se publicará en algún momento del próximo año.
