Tim McGraw Still Has a Future in Acting, Says ‘It’s Just Finding Time’

Tim McGraw is currently focused on Tim McGraw the country singer, but that doesn’t mean he’s done being Tim McGraw the movie actor.

“There are some things kicking around,” he spills to Taste of Country Nights’ Sam Alex during an interview to talk about new music. “It’s just finding time … more after the first of the year, some stuff coming up.”

Yet, McGraw admits that those things that are “coming up” won’t be seen by the public for awhile.

In the past, McGraw has had roles in films like The Blind Side, Country Strong and Friday Night Lights. Ma nonostante il suo impressionante curriculum, dice che deve ancora fare dei provini.

“Ho fatto dei provini, ancora, alcune volte”, dice con una risatina.

Per ora, il lavoro al cinema è ancora solo un lavoro secondario per McGraw, che ha appena pubblicato due nuovi brani, “Neon Church” e “Thought About You”, una canzone che evoca molti ricordi per lui.

(Thought About You) racconta solo una grande storia”, dice McGraw ad Alex. “Mi ricorda davvero molto di dove sono cresciuto e delle persone che ho conosciuto e di quelle che mi hanno influenzato lungo la strada. Parla di persone che non ti passano mai per la testa, ma nei momenti più strani, ti passano per la testa.”

Dopo aver passato due anni in tour con la moglie Faith Hill e aver fatto un album di duetti, McGraw ha detto che entrambe le canzoni saranno incluse in un album solista ancora senza nome, che uscirà l’anno prossimo.
