動詞の時制は、動作がいつ行われたかによって決定されます。
- 過去形（例：私は歩いた）
- 現在形（例：私は歩く）
- 未来形（例：私は歩く）
動詞の時制は、その動作が習慣的か、進行中か、完了したかといったことも知ることができます。 これは動詞のアスペクトと呼ばれ、時制の一部です。
時制の例

A Quick Explanation of the Tenses with an Example
Simple Past Tense.
- I ran to the shops.
Past Progressive Tense.単純過去形は、過去に起こった完了した活動を記述するために使用します。 過去進行形は、過去に進行中の活動を記述するために使用されます。
- ブルーノを見たとき、私は店に走っていた。
過去完了形。 過去完了形は、ある行動が他の行動が起こる前に完了したことを強調するために使われます。

Future Perfect Progressive Tense. The future perfect progressive tense is used for an ongoing action that will be completed at some specified time in the future.
